With a mixture of sadness and excitement, I’ve made the decision to close my practice.

Over the past few months I’ve been gradually working toward transitioning into a new career. I had imagined the transition would be gradual, and that I’d be able to give clients more notice before closing. However, due to some significant developments over the last week, I’ve chosen to accelerate this transition.

I recognize this may come as a surprise to some of you, and I apologize for the short notice. It’s been a bit of a bumpy road the last few months as I’ve worked through my own processes around pain and disease, ultimately leading me to understand that I’ve outgrown massage therapy.

I loved working with each and every one of you. Sharing in your journeys — sometimes short snippets, sometimes spanning years — has been a tremendous honour and joy. To have experienced so much depth is more than I ever imagined was possible in this line of work.

My new career is Relational Coaching — an area of deep personal interest and intensive self and professional development. Through Relational Coaching, I hope to help people realize significant change in their lives through avenues that were not possible as a massage therapist.
